General Information

The physicians of Women's Healthcare of Southern Indiana provide obstetrical services at Floyd Memorial Hospital.  We have 3 physicians and a nurse practitioner.  You may choose to see the same physician during the whole pregnancy or you have the option to see them all.

Obstetrical patients are usually seen every four weeks up to the 28 week visit. From 28 to 36 weeks, patients are scheduled for 2 week appointments and weekly appointments begin at 35-36 weeks. Ultrasound screening is typically performed at approximately 20 weeks and gestational diabetes screening is performed at 24 weeks gestation.  Group Beta Strep screening is performed at 34-36 weeks gestation.
